The Meaning and Properties of Aventurine
Green aventurine is also very popular in the market, such as green aventurine gua sha tools, green aventurine rollers and other products.
Aventurine, also known as “Indian jade”, is a chromium-containing mica oil green quartzite. Its color is very beautiful. But now people think that all the brightly colored, dense and tough quartzite or secondary quartz in the earth’s crust is collectively called aventurine.
At present, there are two kinds of aventurine, green and red, mostly opaque, occasionally a little translucent, and the hardness is similar to that of crystal. The scientific name is alluvial stone, and it is also a member of the crystal family. Its content usually includes microparticles, pyrite and the like. Therefore, transparent or reflective spots are often seen on the stone surface.
Aventurine is an aventurine-like quartzite whose color varies with impurity minerals. Chromium mica is green, called green aventurine, blue, called blue aventurine, and lepidolite is purple, called purple aventurine. Generally speaking, the quartz particles of aventurine are relatively coarse, and the aventurine contains more flaky minerals, which can show a sparkling aventurine effect in the sun.
