The rose quartz gua sha stone is a powerful tool for healing the mind and body. If you could only choose one type of stone, rose quartz is one of them because of its numerous healing properties.
While the soft pink looks soft and inviting, the stone is solid. These characteristics reflect the emotional energy that rose quartz brings to your life.
For example, you want to open up to love. At the same time, you want to protect your heart. Rose Quartz balances these two needs. Read on to learn about rose quartz and how to add its healing properties to your life.
Rose quartz usually comes in the form of large stones. Occasionally, you may find crystals, but the correct name is pink quartz.
Geologists don’t fully understand the source of the pink color, but they generally believe it’s caused by pink borosilicate fibers that aren’t even visible under a microscope. They also speculate that this could be a result of the titanium in the structure.
When polished into a sphere (cabochon), a six-sided star, much like a star sapphire, usually appears. When viewed from the right angle, the stars appear to hover over the stone. For many, this adds a spiritual connection to the stone.
The Healing Properties of Rose Quartz
The main healing properties of rose quartz involve the heart, liver and stomach. For example, rose quartz stimulates the heart, relieves grief and improves blood circulation.

How to Use Rose Quartz Gua Sha?
Ready to use your Gua Sha tool like a true professional? This is a relatively simple process that anyone can do.
Step 1: Clean and Condition
Gua Sha is best done on clean skin. If you use a toner, apply after cleansing. Also, make sure your hands and tools themselves are clean. All you need is a drop of detergent and water.
Step 2: Apply Facial Oil
Apply a generous amount of facial oil to the face, neck and chest. Oil will help the tool glide more easily, but if you prefer a cream or water-based lotion, that’s fine too. Note that you may need to reapply for more throughout the process.
Step 3: Gua Sha
Now you can start your real scraping practice. Hold the tool at a 30 to 45 degree angle and gently pull/shave it across your skin. As a rule, all movements should be upward and follow lymph flow. Repeat each movement three to five times before moving to the next area of skin.
Jaw Line and Chin: Slide the tool from the center of the chin up to the earlobe to outline the jaw.
Forehead: Starting at the center of the forehead, divide the forehead into three sections and slide the tool outward. Scrape once, then move down a bit and scrape again.
Cheeks: Start at the nose and sweep up the cheeks and cheekbones, working outward to the ears. Shave once, then move down a little and shave again, move down a little to the center of your chin and shave again.
Undereye: Start at the inner corner of the eye and slide outward to the temple.
Brows: Slide up along the brow bone – from the inside out.
Lips: Swipe back and forth on lips about five times for a plumping effect.
Neck: Divide your neck into four areas and scrape each section from bottom to top.
Step 4: Remove redundant and complete protocols
If desired, you can massage the remaining product into the skin with your hands, or use a damp cloth to remove any remaining oil or lotion. After that, complete your daily skin care routine.
For best results, our experts recommend scraping 3 to 4 times a week for about 3 to 5 minutes each.
